French kitchen garden in Château Mukhrani
Year: 2010
Location: Didi Jikhaishi, Imereti, Georgia
Didi Djikhaishi’s garden is one of our largest residential landscape projects, spanning approximately 2 hectares. This project presented several challenges, particularly with soil drainage and the high groundwater levels typical of the Imereti Region in Georgia. The more humid climate of this area required careful consideration in plant selection. The scale of the project necessitated a special approach to spatial design. Integrating existing large trees and bushes with new plant compositions, and finding a landscape style that harmonizes with the building’s architecture while meeting the client’s specific requirements, was a real challenge for our team.
This large-scale garden is attractive in any season, but it is especially stunning in autumn. Ornamental grasses and perennials chosen for their seasonal interest come into their own during this time, which coincides with our client’s birthday, adding a personal touch to the garden’s charm.
We were fortunate to prepare hand-drawn fragments of the Master Plan, as our client valued this type of project presentation
